The game has surpassed Joe.

He's not Matheny level. But he is in over his head. His decisions this year for the Cubs have been mind-bogglingly bad.

He was effective when he thought he was original for doing shifts and maximizing value moving players all around the diamond. But the analytics guys out now are always a couple steps ahead of him. And his message is stale to boot.
