I was wrong, kind of, Kansas never really did pull away, but they won even if they had to work really hard for it. It seemed like they were begging to lose but they were just too tough on defense.

Anyway, Joe Pos has a column on whether or not a close call in the 1st round is predictive of struggling later in the tournament. Answer: yes.

I hear you - had Kansas in the FF and would've loved it if W Kentucky had been able to pull it off. LOVED IT.

Rock chalk my ass.

My Midwest bracket is blissfully perfect.

The other three are hilariously wrecked. In the West, I picked every single game wrong except the 1 and 2 seeds winning. I was absolutely rooting for Western Kentucky just to see even more brutal red strikeouts when I log on to peek. This has to be my worst bracket I've ever filled.

that's great
I'd like to add that's about the most outrageous finish on a lob pass I've ever seen.

You had a day on top, Rad. A day of near perfection. A day of Greatness.

You will always have that my friend. You will always have that.

Apparently Larry Eustachy is going straight from the game to pull a shift as head chef at Applebee's.

Nightmare first half for SLU. Hope they can knock down a few and make a game of it.
