Why do I feel like they're embarking on another lost season? I wish I could get really excited, but my level of enthusiasm this season isn't nearly what it was 1 year ago.

I really hope they prove me wrong.

One of the Blues main strengths is the depth they have up front. Yes, the depth consists of young players, but young players that have the potential to be VERY good and can surely step up and fill rolls when guys like Steen & others make their way back.

I'm actually way more pumped for this season than I was for last season. Last season I thought was a retool year while still being competitive. I think we'll be perpetually pretenders until we somehow solve our 1C issue, but I think the team is super talented and has a lot of young guys with upside that can fill in. Obviously the Fabbri injury sucks, but overall I'm more optimistic about the team now than I was opening last season. A lot of that may be due to Tank not having to carry Lehtera around anymore as well.

Very impressed...thought that trade was lopsided in our favor when it was made, and looks even better than that so far...

Schenn has a hell of an arm, maybe he can be a closer for the Cardinals in the offseason

The result was great but the style of play more than the score has me more optimistic and excited than I had been entering this season.

Let's Go Blues!
