I'm going to be out of state, in Big Ten country. If they don't show that game on ABC, I'm going to blow a gasket (and so is my family).

I'm almost too nervous for words. I don't really know what I'll do if Mizzou loses. They've never played such an important game.

Come to think of it, this will be a very stressful football weekend for me. The Vols need to win to make it to the SEC championship, along with continuing a winning streak over Kentucky that dates back to 1984. My high school is also facing its arch rival in the state playoffs (quarterfinals, I think). Both teams are 11-1, with their loss coming against us near the beginning of the season. We've beaten them 8 straight times.

If all three teams win, I don't know what I'll do with myself.

I'm tired of waiting...

Let's get it on now. I'm nervous too, but then I look at who Kansas has beaten (or who they haven't...

They've not played anyone as good as (let me change that to better than) the Illini when Mizzou played them at the beginning. While Mizzou's non-conference wasn't a whose who, Kansas' non conference wasn't even football related. I think combined KU's non con opponents won like 16 games this year and none of them came against anyone we've heard of.

Mizzou is far and away the best team KU has played this year and KU is not the best team Mizzou has played.

So logically thinking, I can't see Mizzou losing this game. Then I start thinking it is Mizzou football and I don't see how they can win...

GET IT OVER WITH ALREADY!

Parkway Central (my high school) plays in the state championship this Friday, so its a big football weekend for me too.

Go Tigers, Colts and Vols!

I actually looked at the schedule the Jayhawks have played yesterday, just to get an idea of how much of a cake walk it's been. The combined record of their opponents is 47-74 (Missouri's opponents are 61-63), their schedule strength is 80th in the nation (ahead of only Boise State and Hawaii among teams in the top 25), they've beaten only three teams with a winning record (all of which are 6-5), and they haven't played a team that's even receiving votes to be in the top 25.

I think I'm the most nervous about the Vols. They've been a Jekyll/Hyde team this year. If they play their best game, they're capable of beating teams like Georgia 35-14. If they stumble, they're capable of losing to teams like Florida 59-20.

We'll have to wait and see, unfortunately. Fulmer could really use a trip to the SEC championship to increase his job security.

Lotsa ball to be played still.
