I bought one for the CEO of the company I work for on my corporate card at his request and have handed that login out to at least a dozen people.

Yup. I used with about 3/4 people a couple years ago with no issues. Very rarely it will randomly ask for credit card info as a way to "verify" but there are easy ways around that.

I used an MLBtv pass with four people last year. Occasionally had a tricky time (had to refresh and login a few times basically) watching in-market with a proxy server, but never any issues with the pass itself.

I almost had to experience the life of a cord cutter this weekend thanks to a little mix up. Thankfully I caught it quick enough and I was only without TV/Internet for about 20 minutes.

I was napping on the couch Saturday morning when someone knocked on the door. It was a Charter technician who had the wrong apartment. I didn't think anything of it since my show was still playing from the DVR but after about ten minutes I realized I should check and sure enough my box was giving me the error indicating it wasn't getting any signal. I walked across the hall and knocked on the door. I didn't even realize that someone had moved in but I guess they did and the Charter guys were there for her so I mentioned to them that mine was working before they knocked on my door but not after. They said they would check it out and about 20 minutes later I had another knock on my door and everything was good.

Our building is old and there are more coaxial cables than necessary going through the basement so they didn't realize they were actually cutting off a paying customer when they were hooking up the apartment across from mine. At least they were cool about it, apologized and got it straightened out really quickly. Actually, the last time there was an issue was because the guy below me cut off his service before he moved out and mine had actually been tied into his so when they cut him off they didn't realize they were cutting me off too. That time they offered to get somebody out there within two hours to fix the issue but I had to leave for softball so it had to wait until the next day. I told them I could get home right before 5 so I took the 5-7 window and they were actually there right at 5.

I don't know what the deal is but the techs are really good in my neighborhood. I've only needed them a couple of times for stupid stuff that is associated with my old building more than their service but they have never made me wait or given me any trouble. I have friends who aren't as lucky though.

One friend was complaining about her bill thinking they had made a mistake. Eventually she realized that they were right but she admitted that she started with the attitude and couldn't go back so at some point she told them that maybe she'd just cancel and hung up. I guess they called her bluff because when she got home from work the next day her service was shut off. This was before the digital switch so she hadn't been using a box. They just came out and unhooked her from the pole. She tried to get the service reconnected and they just never showed up. She gave up after two attempts and just does without cable now. I guess they showed her. She laughs about it now and realizes that she was a witch and deserved what happened. She wishes she still had cable but as a single mother with two kids and no help from the father (warrant out for failure to pay child support yet again), she can't really afford it anyway.

HBO Now was announced at Apple's event yesterday. $15.99/month. Available on all PCs and otherwise it's exclusive to Apple's devices upon release. Sounds like they're working deals to get it up on other platforms. Will be up in time for Game of Thrones.

Price seems a little high. $9.99 seems about right to me. Especially since it appears no Cinemax content is included.
