Agreed. Holliday is with the team, and he should have started. Yadi should be starting both games, even with last night's late finish, so that he could help both of the young, inexperienced pitchers. Marp hasn't been hitting at all since the end of May, but he has to play every inning if he's going to break out of his funk. And they should have traded for Hamels so that we wouldn't have to see Lyons.

You can't tell me that Matheny didnt think we'd have a better shot tonight, so he gave many regulars a rest today.

If by many regulars you mean two, then yeah, I guess so. And one of those two is playing so badly you'd rather see the team's worst hitting SP hit instead of him.

I'd expect as many regulars to be off tonight, too. This happens when teams play double headers.
