THat's a great shot. Labs are the best. He/she looks like she is enjoying the stream.

Where is that? I'm thinking smallmouth.

Wonder if anything will be heard back on this-amendment ordering Pentagon to review whether U.S. experimented with weaponizing ticks
What were the parameters of the program?
Who ordered it?
Was there ever any accidental release anywhere or at any time of any diseased ticks?
Were any ticks released by design?
Did the program contribute to the disease burden?
Could any of this information help current-day researchers find a way to mitigate these diseases?
The theory, which sounds like something straight out of a science fiction novel, contends that bioweapon specialists packed ticks with pathogens that could cause severe disabilities, disease and death among potential enemies to the homeland.

Got diagnosed Lyme disease tonight. Weird. Have the typical rash I couldn’t see on the back of my leg, my tongue was numb, and my shoulder hurt pretty bad the other day. But I’d have not even thought about it had mrs. Aw not noticed the rash and put everything together.

Hope it doesn’t suck. *shrug*

Well that sucks. Sorry to hear that man. There are so many more friggin ticks out there these days. I remember being in the woods as a kid and never getting any, and I wander down into our garden for a bit and end up having to pick them off.

Thanks guys. Knock on wood but don't feel bad and got on antibiotics last night so hopeful this won't progress.

What's weird is I used to get ticks all the time as a kid. Of course we were always in the woods and outside. Nowadays I can't remember the last time I got one except a couple weeks ago when I was at a baseball field. Not that I'm outside as much anymore, spending most of my days in an office. But we're still at ball fields or in the woods at the lake quite a bit.

Sounds like you caught it early, which is good. Make sure your doctors take it seriously. The symptoms can seem low key but if you don't treat it properly, it can really mess you up long term. A friend of my wife's got it as a young adult and for whatever reason, was not diagnosed. Now she deals with lots of chronic issues as a result.
