or atleast have a ceremony for the trophy when the flubbies come to town.
Has it set in YET?

Don't feel guilty. That's how these things work out sometimes. That's why sports is so compelling. I seriously wish I could stop watching but I can't. I might miss something unbelievable.Fat Strat wrote: I felt guilty in one sense because, while I enjoyed it and loved every minute of it and had no expectations and no disappointment if they would have lost, I never BELIEVED that they were going to win. I did believe in '00, '02, '04, and '05. The '06 team just wasn't the same team. They didn't capture my attention and imagination until it was too late.
If you're going to feel guilty when they win and horrible when they lose...begs the question why are you subjecting yourself to this?
I can seriously say that I felt just as good this year, heading into the playoffs, as in the previous years. I've felt, since 98, that we've had a good enough team to win it all if we make the playoffs and get things rolling.
And it seems like today, more than in the past, the teams that are the favorites heading into the post season have that extra burden to carry. And this is what I based this year's hope on; us being the Cinderella story. And, surprisingly, it came true. Enjoy it!

That's part of growing up. For some reason losing can still hurt as bad but winning takes on less importance. You've got other things in your life to be ecstatic about.Popeye_Card wrote: That's how I felt when the confetti was falling all around me and they were setting up the stage mid-field. I was so happy that it finally happened, but it all seemed so odd.
