Rumor has it that its not that far.
Rumor has it that Pujols is actually 5 years older.
Rumor has it that Jennifer Anniston is a pothead.
I don't place much credence in rumors.
Jennifer Aniston is/was a pothead. That ain't a rumor.
shes a pothead?

I guess it depends on what is classified as a pothead.
In a RS from about 4+ years ago they asked her if she was a pothead, and she said she didn't think so, but said she did do it.

Remember when Albert said the light angles in New Busch were off..... and they were?

Actually, no.

I'm not saying they're never right, but they're human and influenced at times by a variety of things. With Edmonds, he could think the distance is off because he's lost a step over the last few years.
Myself, I could win a prize for guessing distances poorly.

Actually I started with 315. So if I multiply the line from home to the mound by 5.2 instead of 5.25, then the 315 line doesn't even reach the wall.
About the picture, you can't use the mound distance because there's a different angle than the baseline, making the distance from the mound to the plate something other than 60.5.
To get the most accurate, use the distance from third to home, 90ft goes into 315ft 3.5 times. So the wall should be exactly 2.5 MORE baselines, just using my fingers the wall is a little short...
We'll see, but I'm guessing it's 310 using that...

Google Earth has a measurement feature (look under Tools) and when I used it it was pretty darn close to 315. I googled Busch Stadium, and even though its OLD Busch, the distance to center field was 400 ft. as expected. I think 315 at Old Maid is accurate.

Not sure what angle you're talking about here or how it would have any bearing on measuring distance. I don't see how it's any different than using a 1-inch scale measurement on a map.
3rd isn't marked on the map anyway, so you'd have to guess.

Life is in 3-D, and the line from the mound to the plate is on a different plane than the LF line because the camera (Z-plane) is not directly above BOTH lines simulateanously. Which means when translated to a 2-D picture the "length" of the mound line is distorted.
And you don't have to guess on 3B, just use the grass, line it up against 2B...

These are satellite pictures. With a focal point at that distance any distortion would be negligible.
I wasn't sure if the grass was the line or not. But given your suggestion I retried it calculating where 3rd base would be based on the outfield being 315 and it did line up with the grass.

Back to the original topic, much has been made of Garner's in game decision-making and I'll be the 1st to admit he's one of the worst . . . ever.
How about PG filling a roster? Obviously this is highly dependent on the players with which one can choose, but he's had a pretty strong supporting cast and bullpen for some time now.
The Biggio situation kinda resembles Ozzie in his last year or two . . . Biggio should probably move on but he's obviously not being pushed to do so. A PR move dictated by ownership? Discuss.
