Let's get another thing straight. The Cardinals played an entire month without Albert Pujols and a hurt Jim Edmonds. If Pujols would have been okay in June. What happens? An extra 30 RBIs, an extra 10 homeruns, an extra 25 hits, an extra 20 runs overall. Not to mention: Albert didn't seem to have his power stroke after the injury. In July/August, he had fewer HRs combined than April. Imagine an extra 6 homeruns combined in those two months and more productive power from him in the final 3 months.

Want more? Their all time saves leader was gone for the entire duration of the playoffs and even a short while before then. So how many of those are wins if Albert is in the lineup? I'm not gonna look up all of the stats for the guys batting in front of him nor anything else. That should say it all. After fighting through a HORRIBLE end stretch with Albert not completely healthy, Jimmy hurt, Yadier hurt at times, Izzy out.. how the hell do we not deserve it after all we went through?

I still attribute the World Series win as a cumulative effort. If you get there enough (build it), it will come.

He's an arse. No one deserves to win anything, whether you win 105 games in the season, or 83. The playoffs start everyone back at square one. From there, you have to continue to play well (if that is what got you there), or step up your game (if you barely got in). All teams that make the playoffs are there for a reason, and that is because they have played with some good level of consistency throughout the regular season.

The best friend I have at work is from Chicago and he knows what the Chicago accent is.
