Fans don't "deserve" anything.

Just get some new, young blood in the tournament. I'm tired of seeing Yankees, Red Sox, A's, Braves(at least it didn't happen last year), Dodgers/Giants in the playoffs every season.

About rooting for the Cubs if they won the division over the Cards...I probably still wouldn't do it, but I might not be so vehemently against it like I was in '03 now that the Cards have won it all. I just didn't want the Cubs to win a world series before I got to see one for my team. Now, maaaaaaaaaaaybe I could find myself hoping they'd win depending on the team they were playing in the world series(like the Yankees or Red Sox).
What is wrong with you, C?

The question is, if the Cubs play the Mets in the NLCS, who do you root for?

Yankees. 2nd favorite team. 7 years without a title is too long for this great franchise..

I dont' understand why you would get pleasure from watching the Cubs lose.

I think StLDan said "It's Cards or nothing, no 2nd teams." Then why would you care for them to lose?

I know some Cub fans who would not root for the Cards if it helped the Cubs win the division. I also know the some Cards fans who feel the same about the Cubs. That is retarded and stupid.

I think it would be good for baseball if the Cubs won.

It's only a matter of time anyway. If whoever buys them has half a brain they are going to be a powerhouse. There's no reason that team can't have a $150 million payroll.
