I'll never forget that punk waggling his finger at Edmonds after he hit him, apparently for
having the gall to hit a no doubt homer against him back in that game in '04. What a freak. I'm sorry, but...he's a freak of nature. He really is. He's a effing talented freak of nature, but a freak nonetheless.
He just screams "Boston Red Sox" to me. I think he'll be there next year. I'm serious. If Carlos is smart, he'll get the he!! out of dodge.
What remains to be seen is how he reacts to the first manager he's had that will probably give him some serious flack for his antics as opposed to just letting it ride from Baylor or Dusty.
I guarantee you that it's no coincidence, or waiting game, or whatever the Cubs spin machine says that he and his agent have waited this long to sign on the dotted line; he wants to know if the ship is sinking or not before he gets inked for the next 5 or 6 years or whatever. While it's far too early to say he's through with the Cubs, it'll be very interesting to see what he does in his next start, his mannerisms, his poise, etc.
