Rams Trade for Dantle Hall

I know people seem to like Carriker, but that 'Tweener' label everyone gives him scares me. When I think 'Tweener' DL I think of someone like Richard Seymour, who's a good player, but would he really fit in the Rams 4-3 scheme?

Here's my big board for the Rams:
1. Gaines Adams - DE
2. LaRon Landry - S
3. Amobi Okoye - DT
4. Patrick Willis - LB
5. Jamaal Anderson - DE
6. Darrelle Revis - CB
7. Adam Carriker - DL
8. Leon Hall - CB
9. Alan Branch - DT
10. Reggie Nelson - S

And it does sound like the Rams will be trading for Kris Jenkins. Jim Thomas, the most reliable football media member I know, was interviewed on the radio giving different draft scnearios but failed to mention a scenario where the Rams hadn't acquired Jenkins. He also said we should know for sure by tomorrow whether or not we will be acquiring Jenkins.

We should know by tomorrow but if we can snag Jenkins and an elite CB, then grab a promising DE in the 3rd, it will be a very productive day.

I agree. Everyone says his tweener status is best suited for 3-4 and I don't like his lack of athleticism.

I stay away from Branch.

I have a feeling that Branch = Kennedy.

That's what everyone's saying. I've heard the Rams feel the same way. He may end up being a stud DT but after the disasters the Rams have had, and with the possibility of adding Jenkins, I don't think that's a risk I'd like to take. I'd rather trade down and take Justin Harrell if we're set on taking a DT.

That's why I have him ranked so low.

Branch might make Kennedy look like an All-Pro

I understand that a workout by Chiefs DL coach Tim Krumrie made Branch look really bad.

Dante Hall, even if a shadow of his former self, is 10X better than anything the Rams have had since Tony Horne. Great trade for the Rams, almost like a Jocketty move that came out of nowhere. Vermeil talked about how he feels Hall was ticked off that he was cast away so quickly and would be really motivated to prove people wrong, and maybe having a decent return guy will motivate the special teams to work harder to block for him.

Seriously, folks: it really doesn't whether or not Dante Hall is anything near what he used to be. Even if he gets only 10 yards on punt returns, that's better than the 2 yards and 3 yards per return that Dane Looker or Shaun McDonald would get on punt returns, and even if he gets 15 yards on Kick returns, that's at least 5 yards better than anybody the Rams would put out there.

Plus, it eliminates the need for the team to play around with Ted Ginn and draft a DL that they need.

Message to Rams at the draft: Amobi Okoye plz.
