I wouldn't mind switching hitting Duncan cleanup, they might have to eventually.

1. Skip
2. Edmonds
3. Pujols
4. Duncan
5. Rolen
6. Kennedy
7. Molina
8. Eckstein

We should give this lineup a shot.

I mean our offensive production has been so bad I wouldn't even mind seeing this:
1. Kennedy (maybe he'll get some much needed confidence hitting first.)
2. Edmonds
3. Pujols
4. Duncan
5. Rolen
6. Speez
7. Molina
8. Eckstein

For some reason I really like the idea that Eckstein isn't in the one slot anymore.
I'd still rather keep Duncan #2 and Edmonds at #4 or #5. I don't think Baby Dunc is ready to be the rbi guy, and I think Jimmy will come around.
I think that Edmonds is the key to the lineup this year.

I hope the key isn't too old and brittle to open the lock.

Edmonds is coming off shoulder and foot surgery. This is going to take some time. He'll get back and be a productive player this year.

Please tell me that no one informed Skip of this yet. He hits better when he doesn't know he is playing until 10 minutes to game time.

He is being kept in his underwear in a dark room with insulated walls in the back of the clubhouse beyond the video room. They shove some food under the door on a paper plate about an hour before the game. At 7pm, the'll unlock the door and tell him to check the lineup card.

Is this the first time Eck isn't leading off as a Cardinal?

Yuck, I hope he turns it around.

If it works, I say they all need to take a turn in there.

The funny thing is, I was typing my paper yesterday, and remembered late to check mlb gameday. Opened it in the third inning when we were down 3-1 and thought ("Nice, its close").

How far removed are we from 2005 again? I remembered being shocked when we were only up by one.
