Anyone watching online?
MU was down 4-0 going into the sixth. Jacob Priday hit a 2-run shot to get MU on the board. Coleman went back-to-back next. MU tallied another to tie it up.
In the top of the seventh, Priday hit a bomb to dead center to give MU the 5-0 lead. That's where we are going into the bottom of the 8th.

It was a moon shot. Absolute bomb. It reminds me of one he hit as a senior in HS in the state sectionals. He hit one to dead center where there were two rows of cars parked watching from CF with people sitting on their trucks and cars. He cleared both rows by about 10 feet or so. It had to be 420 feet or more.
And it was his second HR of that day, too.
I really hope he gets drafted next week. His shoulder should be the only reason he's not even though he's finally healthy now.

It'd be A-okay with me if he stuck around next year though.BW23 wrote:It was a moon shot. Absolute bomb. It reminds me of one he hit as a senior in HS in the state sectionals. The great thing about this year's team is that it's very young. The top 2 starters are sophomores, the ace reliever is a freshman, and the only two seniors of importance are Arndt(light hitting SS) and McKee(power hitting DH), who is about to step to the plate with the bases loaded, to bring everything full circle.

Yeah, I'd like to see him back as an MU fan. However, I'm a bigger fan of Jake's, and I think he's ready to go pro. He would have gone as a senior out of high school if he had gone higher than when teams started calling him (around the 12-14th rounds). He told them all he was going to school at that point.
Not being able to catch this year has probably hurt his status some, but he'd get drafted for his offense anyway. He's led MU in HRs all three years there...something he never did prior to college. He'd probably really improve his stock if he came back, but if he goes in round 5-8, I'm guesing he goes pro.
