But for all the folks drooling all over the 76 they hung on Nebraska (mostly media people)....uh:

KU margin of victory at home against Nebraska: 37
MU margin of victory ON THE ROAD at Colorado, a better school than Nebraska, on the same day: 45

Don't even get me started about the chicanery of KU being ranked higher. Undefeated or not, that team would get smoked by OU and maybe Mizzou. Their non-conference schedule was beyond a joke.
There conference schedule wasn't that difficult this year either...

Exactly. No Texas. No Oklahoma.

It's been a perfect storm kind of year for them.

Is Mark Mangino the fattest football coach you've ever seen? He looks like he'd have to grow 2 inches before he could be considered round.

I think Mangino and Weis probably weigh about as much as the entire Syracuse offensive line.

The '05 KU slogan was "More wins than chins!"

I was at the game Saturday. Great fun for a KU fan.

Last years saying:

Our Coach can eat your Coach.

This year:

Our Coach beat anorexia.

I've gotta say not many teams you go to watch that when you look down to the bench the person you look for is the Coach.

I like him ,btw. Has made a huge difference at Kansas.

Has he? 6-6 last year, 6-5 in '05, 4-7 in '04, 6-7 in '03, 2-10 in '02....

Actually, I guess he has. He's been better there than I thought.

Mangino's and Pinkel's success this year maybe lend credit to the notion that D-1 programs shouldn't automatically fire their coach if things don't work out right away. The three most successful programs in the Big XII right now have the three most tenured coaches.

More importantly, Ohio State might move up a spot this week from last week's #19 ranking in the ultimate football poll--the Kevin Slaten Poll.

That's right. There's 18 teams in this country better than Ohio State right now.

Slaten further stated that Ohio State is "the most embarrasing program in the country, and it's NOT EVEN CLOSE".

Good stuff.
