A lot of times there, the bowings don't match up to the music. Reminds me of Pa, on Little House on the Prairie.

I love this Elvis Costello appearance from the Tonight Show, with the Brodsky Quartet, his uneven foray into mixing pop music with a classical string quartet on the Juliet Letters (1993). You can see him struggling to hit the vocals on a lot of the notes as he's trying to sing it in a semi-operatic style. But the climax at the end, with the expression on his face, is chilling.

This is a video of Dennis Brain performing the horn part in the Beethoven Horn Sonata. Brain was one of the finest horn soloists ever, and he introduces the video by discussing many of the changes in the french horn over two centuries.
