I don't really buy this.
Really? When I was a kid I knew Pryor through his movies. Maybe four years ago I started listening to his standup and almost immediately it hit me that all those guys, and many more comedians, are obviously indebted to Pryor. They're just doing his act with different punchlines.
And none of those guys, including Pryor, would've been successful without Redd... ah [expletive] it. Anyway, Pryor has my vote.

I'm putting in my wild card vote for Daniel Tosh. The guy is too funny.

You must not have watched or listened to the right Carlin stuff. He's not my favorite but I still recognize him as one of the funniest men that ever lived. And I'm talking tears in your eyes funny. Not just nodding with approval.

I'm mostly being facetious but I've never been a big fan.

I'm with Pryor.
I kind of agree with Orson Welles' take on Carlin. He sounds like an amusing essayist to me, and while I'm entertained, I'm not moved to laughter.
I like Murray, but he's sort of an apple among oranges in this tourney. As I said in Murray/Prior 1, I don't know if I could say who is funnier, but I have more respect for the nature of Pryor's creativity.
I love Pryor's delivery as well. Even if he wasn't hilarious, I'd still love to hear him tell stories.

Now that Pryor has faded will his voters make a switch?

Yeah, I'll probably go back to Cards Talk. I can't live in a George Carlin world. I miss the trade proposals anyway.

I'll probably switch the Murray now.

I just saw an episode of Everybody Hates Chris. I'm changing my vote.
