I'm not the least bit concerned but all the older people I know are. The other day I filled up for 3.79$ per and the lady across the isle was filling up her Honda crap box eco car and has the nerve to say to me "I'll bet it hurts you every time you fill up that thing." I was in my Corvette. To which I replied "not as much as it would to drive a Honda every day. Dickish, yep it was, but I'll pay any amount for gas as long as I can drive something that puts a smile on my face. When you think about the increase in gas is only an extra 5-10$ a fill up which isn't much considering most people eat out several days a week, have 100$ cell phone plans, and god knows what else waste in their life. People just like to complain.

Not advocating your dickishness, but that's an excellent point. I could be way off base as far as the costs, but that feels much more overpriced to me. Of course I still pay it, but it sticks in my craw way more than the gas bill.

Don't Corvettes still get upper 20's MPG, because of the low weight and great aerodynamics? Yeah the extra 4 MPG you're getting in that Honda I bet is INCREDIBLE. They can afford an extra $5 footlong each month.

I was really upset when I was filling up my Hummer the other day, while looking at my Tag Heuer, waiting for my i-phone to ring confirming my reservation at Mastro's....

When your are never able to get more than $75 worth of gas because the pumps shuts off at that much, you care a little bit about how much gas you got... but really I just fill up at the station next to work. It's always about 10 cents cheaper than by my house. With as much as I spend a month on gas, I am looking forward to it being warm enough to convince myself to ride my bike to work at 5am. Just by doing that a couple days a week I'll probably save over $50 a month.
