I kinda think it's fun honestly.
Before the Reds brawl last year, it was just a casual rivalry because they were the team we were competing against. Now, with all that has happened, I'm actually more interested than I would normally be for a Friday night game on a holiday weekend.
Let him chirp, and let him tweet. It's fun for me to have a reason to care more than just wanting a win because they're my favorite team.

Whenever there is Dusty v TLR, there is fun. TLR 'overmanages' like a chess grandmaster while Dusty does what he can to drive Tony crazy. Sometimes, all Dusty needs to do is stand in the dugout.
When a national camera is focused on it, you'll be able to sop that fun up with a biscuit.
Something crazy this way comes.

One good year does not a rivalry make.
Congrats Reds, you won your first NL Central title in since 1995 and then were promptly swept by the Phillies. I like seeing them lose, but I don't pay them enough attention to think of them as rivals.

I think it's fun, too. I love hating the Reds now. And Phillips. And Cueto for completely different reasons. I haven't been this excited about an April series in a long time.

And hope the Cards leave cleat marks on the backs of the Reds after they stomp them in this series. Brandon Phillips vs current Cards pitchers.

Brandon Phillips is looking forward to the hostile reception he's expected to receive in St. Louis this weekend.
"Honestly, (the boos) will make me feel good, because it lets me further know that they have dreams about me," he said. "It's like, 'Oh my God, Brandon Phillips is coming to St. Louis.' It feels good, to let me know they think about me instead of worrying about the team." Phillips also took to Twitter to prod Cardinals fans on Thursday, first predicting victory for the Reds this weekend before criticizing St. Louis' food. Phillips has gone 4-for-12 with a double and RBI since returning from a groin injury on Tuesday, and has an excellent .350 average and .394 on-base percentage on the season.

Hey Brandon, we may be a bunch of [expletive], but we're perfectly capable of hating you and being concerned about the team at the same time.
Idiot.

I have to do research sometime in the future on the size of professional sports Athlete's egos.
He describes it as if our booing of him is secretly pining our love for him. Uh, no, Brandon. It's not.

I know this would be childish and against baseball strategy and blah blah blah blah blah. But, how great would it be to see Laird start this game and when Phillips does his shin tap thing, Laird just knocks the [expletive] out of him.
