There is a nice thread in site support/suggestions for this that has been bumped many times that you could bump again...

I didn't even know commas had names or categories. Commas, they all look alike to me.

Agreed. I don't know why there's a debate about this either. The serial comma makes your meaning abundantly clear and just reads better.

It reads like the writer is saying "At last, singer Etta James dies." Like we've all been waiting for it to happen.
