I don't think anyone is saying that there is a problem with breastfeeding. But, there is a problem with breastfeeding a three year old. What is the problem here?

And oh yeah, it's MUCH more convenient. You don't have to go buy the stuff, don't have to prepare it and heat it and such.

Re: Breastfeeding
My son couldn't drink formula, since he was allergic to both cow's milk and to soy protein. Fortunately, he grew out of his allergies. We were stunned to find out that he wasn't allergic to peanuts and peanut butter.Vidor wrote:This is not a word!lukethedrifter wrote:Conversate
Anyway, my wife did this, and we saved a fortune on formula.

Re: Breastfeeding
I love how men are experts on this, and pretty much all topics that involve women's bodies.
And since we Men are experts... - myself and all 7 siblings- formual fed back in the 60s and 70s.. healthy bad asses every one of us.
Formula isn't that expensive, at least that I recall. And bottle fed kids start eating regular food a bit quicker. And convenience wise, the bottle has boobs totally beat. W/bottles your wife doesn't have to quit working, the dad can take some late shifts ...-and though that may seem like a downside from the male perspective - a sleep-deprived [expletive] wife will get her comeuppance. So a healthier mental outlook may exceed the magical immunities. You can take care of the immunities by liviing with dogs and not having a ultra sterile environment.
And my formula fed kid - healthy childhood as plausibe, especially compared our friends breastfed kids with allergies, colds, and boogers running out of their nose all the time.

Re: Breastfeeding
What i listed comes from my wife who was and wanted to be a full time mother. We were fortunate enough that we did not have to get on the dual income treadmill. And I have told everyone ever since the 2nd came along that my wife works a hell of a lot harder than I have ever had to.Freed Roger wrote:W/bottles your wife doesn't have to quit working.
A Happy Mother's Day shout out to all the women who's first priority is their children.

Hold on. I don't think anyone is advocating for formula so stop arguing against it. We are here to discuss whether it's weird for these smoking hot moms to breast feed their teenagers.

Blossom was on that show that is like Nancy Grace but the chick has dark hair instead yesterday. Blossom has some neuroscience degree and was pretty convincing about this all being fine.
I only watched this because I was surprised that Blossom has a neuroscience degree. I have no opinion on the actual subject, except maybe Time Mag was a little overly provocative with the images.
