My Illini have done a complete faceplant, so I have nothing really to stand on. But gosh Tom Crean is a jerkoff.

I don't have any special love for Crean, but I don't see the big deal with that handshake. Nothing I haven't seen from other coaches before. Bob Knight was a big talker during those handshakes, and was a genuine jerkoff. Crean is completely manic and it would put me off in person, but I've never seen him not act like he's coked up. I think it's just who the guy is. Plus it's not like Ryan was looking to stay there and chat either.

In general, why can't coaches keep off the floor anymore? One thing I do miss about Knight is he'd just sit on the bench for minutes at a time and let the team play.

I imagine it is not the first time Crean has tried to skate by without saying anything and Ryan was not surprised.. Ryan is no boy scout but he always says something to the other coach.

To me, Ryan can't try to say anything without looking like he is gloating. What's he to say- "great game, too bad someone had to lose?"

If Crean were classy he would stop for a second and say something-"I thought our press would do better, great game, I hope your plane crashes," something-if for no other reason than he's the host coach.

Wisconsin 45- Minnesota 44 in one of those games that feels like a root canal. Wisconsin is 5-2 in conference and would be 6-1 if they could hit FT's. Rest of schedule is hard, I think 11-7 in BigTen and make the tournament as a 9 seed.

They should petition to be added to the B1G. 1 for 31 from the field in a half doesn't even seem possible for D1 scholarship players. 1 for 33 on threes for the game. That shouldn't happen no matter how lopsided the matchup is, and I can't imagine Eastern Michigan is very good.
