Guiness is fickle. If it's not stored/served right, it sucks. If it is, you can get as good of a Guiness in Geneva, IL as you can in Dublin.

I will back the posters who like Newcastle and Guiness.

For a light beer, I used to always go with Bud Light, but I started trying out others after seeing this graphic (spoilered for size):

I never really liked Coors Light. Miller Light is OK and I will have it on occasion. Busch Light though really isn't that bad, especially considering a 12 pack is under $7.

I am pretty sure less calories means less alcohol.
