I should note that I don't really blame Aldridge for finding Portland too small and boring, if that's an accurate characterization of his thoughts. Not much in terms of the baller's night life here. And I hope this doesn't sound racist or like I'm implying racism because I don't mean to, but the whitest big city in America gets even smaller if you're a young black millionaire.

That's why I suggested an uneven salary cap. But that would get unfair really fast where OKC gets more money and has a superstar with several national endorsements and a movie which I can assume is EXCELLENT. Of course, how often would it really be that unfair? I suppose Bird Rights are supposed to help with this, but the truth is as long as there are teams in Sacramento and in NY, there is never going to be a level playing field.

MLB does it where draft picks and slot money is handed out based on market size. Maybe overhaul the draft, weight the lottery to small markets? That would be bogus. I think we're still early in the new CBA and we'll see how the tax penalties and Bird Rights affect it going forward before they start making drastic changes.

If Cleveland offered Portland #1, Thompson and Waiters for Aldridge, as rumors say they did for Love, the Blazers should do it (or possibly should have done it as there were Aldridge/Cavs rumors a month ago). Cavs can have #10 too.

Throw out Waiters and #10 and I still do this. Take Oladipo (and the best center at 10, maybe Adams), and throw a lot of ping pong balls at Wiggins (with some great consolation prizes if that fails). Might even let them have 10 and maybe/maybe not find a way to get into the late first to get someone like Gobert.

Just saw ESPN showing Dan Gilberts tweet saying his Cavs are drafting Nolanthony McLottodipo. Between his public as hell meltdown against LBJ leaving and this, he's my third favorite owner behind Cuban, James Bond Russian villain mastermind, and just ahead of racist Sterling.
