Here we are again. Because our managers knew that what we were trying to do was near impossible schedule-wise, they broke 1 big project into 3 smaller ones. These smaller projects fall into a different category that requires less oversight and reporting, and can have a more informal schedule...so in theory there is less bureaucracy to deal with, and more schedule flexibility. But that oversight, reporting and scheduling is actually very useful to keep things organized. Now we have 3 different teams that have to work together, and no 1 team has authority over either of the others. And we're right up against deadlines and nothing's working correctly. It's pretty chaotic. One way or another life will go on.
