What are the requirements to lead The Faction? No mission statement and whorish self-promotion?

That's all.
The winningest manager in baseball who still hasn't shown a sign of improvement in October and continues to grind the starters until they're gassed. He puts them in a position to lose time and time again.

There are no dues and few rules. The only qualifications required are to believe that Matheny and Mabry must go, and to sport the ITF proudly. If you ever change your mind, you leave the same way. No complaints, no recriminations.
The Faction is big on ritual and ceremony. It's all in fun, mostly imaginary, and you can join in or not as you like. Whatever you're comfortable with. Just play it cool and follow the lead of the veterans. This all started as a lark and we continue to play it that way, to the extent that is possible for serious Cardinals fans.
As for debating the "Fiction", as those who feel compelled to challenge us are affectionately known, again it's entirely up to you. Just try to keep your facts straight and your language decorous, at least to the extent that you can. Sometimes it's needed for effect, and sometimes we just can't help ourselves.

PM me at any time. Thanks.

You mean, making the WS after making the NLCS the year prior is not a sign of improvement?

Baseball is a game defined by how much everyone fails. If you can't handle the last 4 seasons of Cardinal baseball, maybe it's not the sport for you?

No rings, no job.

Instead we should bring in someone like Francona who has shown vast improvement during his time in Cleveland since their '13 wild card loss.
