Really? If I put "human rain delay" into Google, the two names it comes up with are Mike Hargrove and Steve Trachsel. Why not use Trachsel as an example? Trachsel figures in one of the biggest moments in Cardinal history: he gave up Mark McGwire's 62nd home run in 1998.

Nobody has to google Bedard to know he takes too long. People don't remember Trachsel being slow...or even know who Hargrove is.

Hargrove and Trachsel have been retired for 28 and 5 years, respectively, putting them pretty far out of the general public's awareness, as AW has pointed out. I think you're taking this wrong, Mary; the fact that they take a shot at Bedard mean they think he's still at least somewhat relevant.
