A few problems with some points made in that article.

I keep reading that "Tebow is not a good quarterback." No, he is not a good passer. There is a huge difference. People saying this might mean passer, but they need to start saying it.
Tebow's ball protection is either evidence of leadership or simple probability, for throwing interceptions is really hard to do when you're handing off 50 times a game.
(insert sample size disclaimer here)

His # of attempts per interception beats out Rodgers, Brady, and Brees. Not bad for someone with supposedly terrible accuracy.

And then he completely dismisses the "He's handing it off 50 times a game" argument when he says things like "The QB didn't throw for 200 yards once [in the six game stretch]. While also conveniently dismissing his yards on the ground. His Yards per touch beats any quarterback in the league not named brady, rodgers, and brees.

And I don't buy the Vince Young argument... I don't think that needs explaining. Full of holes.

Other than that, I think the guy is spot on... but of course, is anyone really debating that the fervor over Tebow is because off-the-field things, and not on-the-field things?

Anyways, I don't know what point this guy's trying to make. I don't follow college football, but everything i've heard about Tebow from the minute he got drafted is "just wait until." Anti-Tebowers just seem to keep bumping back that "until" point.

Also, whoever said we might as well rename this the Tebow thread wasn't too far off. But in other NFL news...

lol philadelphia. How much longer does Reid have left?

Broncos did it again. Tebow a good day passing - 10/15, 202 yds, 2 TDs.

Here's my thoughts on Tebow as a non-objective non-fan. Can't stand the Gators or the Broncos. Most of you I'm sure are too young to remember Jay Schroeder. He played awhile for the Redskins and Al got him to the Raiders. He could flat out sling the ball down the field, which all treasured. However, I would get so frustrated when he'd throw something like a five yard flare pass and it would go five feet over the guy's head or bounce off of his shoes.

I have seen quite a bit of him this year, Denver is considered local here. He is improving, I'll give him that.

As far as the comebacks, that's great. But as I always argued with my friend about the great Joe Montana, whom he absolutely idolized. He always talked about the comebacks. I always said that if he was so good he'd never have to comeback. Tongue in cheek of course, but there is a bit of truth in that in my mind.

0-12. Not as much so.

Though Orlovsky looked surprisingly less terrible than Painter yesterday.

Drafted out of high school, so he never had the opportunity to get destroyed in a big college game and cry on the side lines.

So in other words, the answer is no?
