I heard Saturday that The anticipation is early rounds draft pick for the Tank. Drafted as QB. The thing about Franklin - he will switch positions if asked, but wants to QB.JL21 wrote:Hey, if he'd had another 5-7 season, I'd be right there with you.
Other than the one interception (and one other throw that I thought could've been picked), I thought Franklin looked pretty good. He and Mauk could not be more opposite in terms of what they bring. I still prefer Franklin as the starter but I like having Mauk around for a series or two just to give the opponent a completely different look.
I really, really can't wait to watch Mauk play every game for the next few years.

I'd say that's a little overly optimistic, especially with his injury history. He might get picked in the 5-7 range or have to go the undrafted free agent route.BigDCardlvr wrote:I heard Saturday that The anticipation is early rounds draft pick for the Tank. Drafted as QB.

I love James Franklin. He will not be drafted, and really shouldn't.

Best I've seen him rated is the 25th available QB. Maybe in the early rounds of the CFL draft.

Yes, based on injury history now, I can't see him going higher than 6 or 7 as a quarterback and that might be a reach - if they win out and he plays well, I think he can move himself up. Some team might take him higher as an athlete. If Tebow is a first rounder... I'm just sharing what I heard.

I don't think it's just his injury history.

I'm starting to look at this as win/win. If Mizzou beats A&M tonight, they'll win the SEC East and have a shot at the SEC Championship (and possibly much, much more).
If they lose, I won't have to listen to Gary Danielson call a Mizzou game next week.

He's the worst isn't he? My wife calls him the Tim McCarver of football.JL21 wrote:I'm starting to look at this as win/win. If Mizzou beats A&M tonight, they'll win the SEC East and have a shot at the SEC Championship (and possibly much, much more).

His constant harping on the spread and any offensive formation that wasn't used in 1982 drives me nuts.
