To be honest, I haven't heard much around here. There was 1 day on the drive home that I had 103.7 on, don't know if you ever listened to them, but they have this guy on from 5-530 who is a some type of high school football player rater for one of those websites I think rivals. Anyway, he does it for basketball too I think but his bread and butter is football and they talk about football 80% of the time even during basketball season so ... it's a football show. Anyway, he made a statement, as innocent as it was, that Ben Simmons went 1st in the NBA draft and holy [expletive] [expletive] god damned mother [expletive]....that opened the floodgates for people to chime in about how monk should have come to Arkansas and [expletive] him and blah blah blah. I mean, it wasn't too nasty. But the guy goes...I didn't think I'd end up spending half an hour talking about Malik Monk. And, I don't want to.

The sentiment is still there, but it's just kind of not talked about.

Anyway, those 3's were huge and I'm glad KY covered.

Used to be the only thing I listened to.

Cuonzo can probably get them up to about 14 or 15 wins just through better coaching of what's in stock. Porter and perhaps even another solid recruit can get them 18/19. It still requires things going right. If everything goes just right, maybe they can get a seven through 10 seed next year. More likely, they will be an NIT team. Which sounds pessimistic, but it's so much better than where they've been. That's a huge step for a single year. I'm just thrilled to care again.
I have a theory that the Porters are going to be the best thing for Kim Anderson's minimal reputation because they'll be an easy excuse when the team takes a leap forward. Anderson was just so, so bad at every facet of being a coach that I think it's fair to think that with the help of a big talent influx like the Porters, the team could take off quickly. That doesn't mean I'm expecting Martin to win the SEC year one or anything, but I think Anderson's contributions to the < 10 win baseline cannot be overstated.

got damn

If they can land two of: Knox, Blake Harris, Jemarl Baker and Porter's brother (trying to reclassify) they could go from worst power 5 team to legit contenders in one year.

I would assume that Knox & Porter would be one and done, wouldn't they?

I read that NBA scouts were salivating over Knox at the McDonald's game.

Somehow Roy Williams always has the most talented team and they play just sloppy enough to make it close.
