Please don't say that.fulldeck wrote:Has anyone been using MLB.TV today? I have been and really can't see a difference between the 400K and 700K feeds.
No blackouts!!! High res 700K feeds!!! Archived games!!! Gameday audio!!!! mlb.tv is awesome.
How many thousands of times do I have to repeat that to convince myself?

I am really, really confident something is going to get done.
According to Biz of Baseball, the two sides were still working on a deal as of 4:25 PM...
Talks about have broken down long, long ago if they were not close. I'm guessing out they're hammering out some fine details.
Maybe I'm blindly optimistic? I don't know. I think cable will have Extra Innings this year.

So should we expect a decision today? I heard Senator Specter on 610wip sports talk here in Philly yesterday morning and he didnt seem to optimistic about Comcast getting EI. I would like a decision either way so I can order EI with Comcast or get Direct...fulldeck wrote:MLB.com had a link on the main site yesterday that said they were still working out the kinks on the mosaic feeds. I would take that to mean the quality will get better.
I sure hope you are right Kyle.

I called Comcast yesterday, and if there is hope that something can get done it hasn't filtered down to the front line people. They told me it's done, they are not carrying EI, and expect a rebate offer for mlb.tv in the mail. It showed up on cue.
I've giving until late this afternoon and then making a decision one way or another. My plans tonight look like they may get rained out, and I wouldn't mind seeing the game tonight.

More updates:
http://www.bizofbaseball.com/index.php? ... &Itemid=52MLB's self-imposed deadline for the incumbents, iN Demand and DISH Network, has been lifted, according to Eric Fisher of the Sports Business Journal via the Sports Business Daily's "Morning Buzz".
MLB President & COO Bob DuPuy said late yesterday, "We will continue discussions until we reach a deal or it becomes apparent we cannot."
In the interim, DirecTV becomes the exclusive provider of Extra Innings.
More details should be forth coming via the Sports Business Daily when the expanded issue runs later today.
