Sarkisian is a pretty good coach. Better choice for USC than Kiffin and a better candidate than Del Rio or Orgeron. Not sure who else they could have gotten that's better, other than the same guys that are always mentioned but never hired.

Who was that kept suggesting Haden was going to "think outside the box" on this one? Was he suggesting Geno Auriemma or Herb Brooks?

Good. The story was sketchy at best.

Rightly or wrongly, I'm always wary of white women accusing black men, particularly one that has a household name, of rape. Their history speaks for itself.

It's always tough to say when those big name mid-major coaches move up because of the quality of competition (call it the Hawkins Effect) but that sure seems like a huge hire for the Huskies.

Boise... [expletive], they seem to have a system in place, much like Stanford. They should be fine.

And unlike Stanford, Boise St. has a Mountain West schedule to insulate them even further against program deterioration.
