That sounds real nice Freed. My smoked ham was the best ham I ever had.
I'm so burned out on pulled pork, ribs, pork steaks from all summer, I wanted to so something different. I'm going to slow cook a meatloaf on the grill soon.

Ditto. Did a couple chickens Monday. You know you're running low on ideas when you basically just cook chickens. In top of it all, wifey being pregnant says pork doesn't agree with her (wth) ao no ribs or pork butt. Done a few brisket but those get old too.

LOL - I did chickens a couple of weeks ago for the same reason.
I haven't smoked a brisket in a while. I usually do brisket in the fall and then use the leftover brisket to make vegetable brisket soup or brisket chili. Ready to do that once it cools off a bit.

We are one in the same. Looking forward to doing a grill chili. Not gonna do a brisket. But will cook ground beef and onions on the grill. Smoke some sausage and bacon. Then throw it all in a pot with beans tomatoes seasonings etc to make chili. Smoke it for a few hours in the pot before closing the lid and finishing it.

If that's the only thing your pregnant wife can't eat, you're lucky.
When Mrs Wrox was pregnant, the only thing she COULD eat was spaghetti o's.

I usually smoke some brats anytime I smoke a butt or chicken. It is fantastic!
Sometimes I'll cut up the brats and skewere them with bacon and veggies, but I grill them.

How do you smoke brats?
Also, my go to method for brats is to boil them in beer then grill them. Basically, keeps them moist, adds flavor....mmmmmm
