What will you miss?
Oregon Shakespeare festive is closed. The fires two years ago almost did them in. This could be a coup de gras.
Still seeing what the little leagues around here will do. If they cancel I've got a lot of spring nights and weekends back.
If work shutters, we just might head to the southern Oregon coast and the redwoods. Still haven't done that yet.

I'm honestly pleasantly surprised and impressed that private organizations are stepping up and voluntarily making very expensive decisions to help slow the spread of this thing.
I bet they had a calculation of what it'd cost if someone caught it on their premises and sued them, and thought "not worth the effort". Or they've got insurance. Private organizations aren't known for doing anything that affects their bottom line, so I'm not sure why they suddenly started now.
Do you think it will help some in US #s wise that a sizable chunk of people sort of hunker down a lot at home anyway.
I know that is a generalization. But we do tend to have more physical space between each other than other parts of the world.
In my neighborhood. (an inner burb-semi dense) people hole up this time of year, and a fair amount of the rest. you just see them in cars going by.
when we get a nice day that is a break from dreary weather then they might come out- I always think -Who are all these people and where have they been. ? It is like Boo Radley's day out.
I've lived in Bismarck for two months and haven't met a single neighbor. I guess I was self quarantining and didn't even know it. Don't tell me I'm not ahead of the curve.

What will you miss?
I had my annual ballpark weekend a buddy and I do each year where we go to a city for a baseball and soccer game. This year was supposed to be Dallas the first weekend in April. Bummer, but as someone who isn't very social and works from home a block from a grocery store, the hardest thing is going to be not compulsively reading the news now that there's gonna be less sports content peppered in. Like Leroy, I'm already pretty good at social distancing.
This grocery thing sucks. People need to quit buying everything up. Went to Meijer today which is pretty big and was almost completely out of produce and meat. Toilet paper too - which i still don’t get. I bought a couple things I wouldn’t have just because I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get them over the next few days. Which is pretty much what everyone is doing. Hopefully it settles out in the next week as people realize this is going to take a while.

pretty much same here. certain produce items gone but mostly there, while i don't eat meat several of the open fridges of meat were cleaned out, all TP, paper towels and disinfectants gone. also bought more than i usually would.
