I HATE FB GAMES.
I HATE KNOWING YOU PLAY THEM.
I HATE WHEN YOU ASK ME TO PLAY THEM WITH YOU.
I HATE THAT THERE ISN'T AN OPTION TO BLOCK ALL GAMES AND GAME REQUESTS.
And what's the deal with stickers? I hate them too.

From a former Facebook friend who I finally realized was too exhausting to be a friend anymore:
The Oklahoma State parade accident is awful. I feel terrible for all the families...but with 4 dead and more than 20 injured, I'm surprised no one is calling for cars to be banned

I'd be tempted to reply with "give it a [expletive] rest!"

LOL. What an idiotic meme. Driving under the influence is banned.

I have, countless times. I've also asked him what explicit purpose a gun has besides to kill more efficiently, and I've yet to hear anything besides the "protection" argument.
Then I finally wised up and realized I wasn't getting anything from this friendship.

A gal I know socially is currently bad-mouthing me to our mutual friends. She does her socializing through her constantly updated facebook feed. The same feed featured about 5 or 10 daily re-posts (with none of her own commentary) of left-wing stuff, in addition to her general mood, family member baby pictures, and occasional "Come out to X bar tonight for triva" kinds of things. So I hid her ages ago. No big deal. I showed up last week, she asks why I missed her comedy show (she's not funny, I would have skipped it anyway). I told her that I hide pretty much everyone, which I do. A buddy told me today that she spent last night telling everyone she could that I don't give a [expletive] about anyone, and that the rest of them should realize it. She's completely wrong. I just don't really give a [expletive] about most people, and all my friends I do care about have already figured that out.

Meaningless Quotes on Facebook Are in Fact Meaningful — For Stupid People
The study posits that people who believe that mundane, vacuous quotes are truly profound and meaningful also show indications of decreased cognitive ability. That is, they are dumb, believe in ghosts, are conspiracy nuts, and hold that alternative forms of medicine have the ability to heal.
Simply put, it seems some of us find meaning in the meaningless and are worse off for it.
