I am happy Dexter is a Cardinal, and I am sad that his family is going through this.

Not excusing the ignorant responses to that post because they were really, really bad, but that headline was very mis-leading.

This message board is as close as I get to sharing my opinions in a public setting (and I do so anonymously and it's usually complaining about matheny). I don't understand how people can be so vicious publically.

Fwiw, I don't think passan was taking a shot at cardinal fans. I think it gave him an excuse to attach names to these public ignorant responses attacking fowler. Good for him.

He definitely was taking a shot at Cardinals fans... or he's lazy. He's a lifelong Royals fan with a chip on his shoulder. It took like five seconds to find fans from other teams saying the same awful things. Why not include them?

I mean why would he search for other fans of teams saying bad things? He's just responding exactly to what he saw. I don't think he was seeking out negative comments from Cardinals specifically. He just made a quick response to the screenshot he saw on his feed, which happened to be Cardinal fans saying dumb, racist [expletive].

Fans of every team think the media is singling them out and hates them.

Because it's irresponsible? That there's a big difference between painting fans with a broad brush for liking scrappy white guys and portraying a fan base as awful racists? Because he even acknowledges that it isn't unique to Cardinals fans but falsely says we do it louder? Because if Dexter Fowler was a Mariner, no one is running this story about [expletive] Mariners fans say?
