In 2006 even if Houston win and Cards lose on final day, we would still be 1/2 game ahead. We had a makeup game against Giants to play if Hou were 1/2 game behind.

2001 came down to the last day, but only for seeding purposes - if we had won, we would have been the division winner outright; instead, since we lost (giving Houston the 7-5 season-series advantage) we finished tied with Houston and were seeded as the wild card and we had to play Arizona, the eventual WS champs.
