If you turned the game off early yesterday you missed this. I was glad to see the Mizzou linemen stick up for their guy the next few snaps.

That pissed me off when I saw it. He had no reason for taking him down that way, other than trying to look like a bad-ass. I hope he gets a suspension out of it, not that it would matter since he's a third string freshman. I thought it was cool that the refs didn't do anything to the Mizzou linemen who mugged him the next two plays.

From RMN, here's next year's schedule. They still have one non-con to fill in.
August 31: Murray State
September 7: Toledo
September 21: at Indiana
October 5: at Vanderbilt
October 12: at Georgia
October 19: Florida
October 26: South Carolina
November 2: Tennessee
November 9: at Kentucky
November 23: at Ole Miss
November 30: Texas A&M
You can't take anything for granted but it's great to have weaker non-cons next year, it's great to play the non cons (almost) all before they have to face Georgia/Florida/Carolina, and it's great to swap out Alabama this year for Ole Miss next year. Ole Miss is no guaranteed win but they're also not a guaranteed loss like 'Bama was.

Kinda sucks playing all of the tough opponents right in a row but otherwise that's a pretty manageable schedule.

the Alabama player had to write the Mizzou player a "letter of apology". but, until recently, his twitter profile pic was of that play.

You've probably all heard about this by now:

http://msn.foxsports.com/collegefootbal ... dit-102312
The Missouri athletics department is tightening employee use of school-issued credit cards after an audit found a series of improper purchases, including bills for more than $7,600 from a Las Vegas strip club.

Department spokesman Chad Moller said Tuesday that director of video operations Michael Schumacher had repaid $7,605.50 for two credit charges from a May 5, 2011, visit to Olympic Garden. One of the charges included a $2,000 tip on a $4,400 bill at a nightclub billed as the "only Vegas strip club on the Strip."
Because of it, Mizzou got the LSUFreek treatment. Kinda NSFW.

That gif is pretty good. Olympic Gardens is one of the trashiest strip clubs in Vegas so for one guy to drop 7500 there it had to be at least a mouth hug in the VIP, probably more.

Steve Spurrier asked about Florida bouncing back from a tough loss as it prepares for Mizzou: "I think Florida should be fine this week."
