I love beer. I have a great homemade beer. I can't say that I am a professional in such stuff but my friends said that it tastes good, has a bit of orange flavor. I usually pour it in special canisters. Maybe some day it will be a good start for a business

Did another beer flight of some barrel aged stuff, mostly all local brews. Overall a pretty big fan of my selections.

Kentucky Ales' Bourbon Stout (8%)
Bent Brewstillery's Dark Fatha (12.3%)
Lift Bridge's Barrel Aged Wee Heavy (9%)
Indeed's Whiskey Queen (10.5%)

I bought a 6th barrel of Oskar Blues Beerito (vienna mex lager) for a cinco de mayo party. Maybe 40 people and other options for drinks. Half of it left even with me taking 10. Mexican style beer aint sexy, but I was almost certain the keg aspect would sell it. I was wrong. Oh well, friends have people over for a party and they should kill it.

Following up on my post from before about NoVA/DC/Maryland breweries should any of you make your way out here, I've become a huge fan of Union Craft Brewing out of Baltimore in the last few months. Probably the best analogy I could make is that they're Baltimore's answer to UCBC. Their most readily available options aren't anything crazy or experimental- this ain't Dogfish. They just do the German style thing, and they do it really, really well.

Their Blackwing- a schwarzbier- is one of the most sessionable dark beers I've ever had (while still remaining tasty). They sell it at Camden. Their Balt (an altbier made in Baltimore... BALT! GET IT!!!) is equally drinkable and delicious.

So... if you make it to MD/VA/DC, my recommendations are:

-Union Craft (Baltimore)

-Hardywood (Richmond)

-Heavy Seas is also very solid and they just hired Schlafly's Dan Kopman as their CEO. I liked them before that and I can only imagine they'll get better. (Baltimore)

-RAR is a newer one I'm discovering... I think they're somewhere way the [expletive] out on the eastern shore and I've been impressed with what I've had.

-Brewer's Art in Baltimore has their Resurrection (Belgian dubbel), and it's really tasty. Can't vouch for the rest of their line.

-Port City in VA/suburban DC is consistently good.

There are a ton in VA but other than Hardywood and Port City, I've been underwhelmed.

Oh... and Natty Boh. You can never go wrong with Natty Boh.
