yesterday, their rep told me it was selling like crazy this summer in St Louis and I found that a little hard to believe. To each their own, but I can't imagine ordering something like that in July when it was an average high of 9 billion degrees.

Yeah, a few days ago the high here was in the mid-50s.

It was like 65ish and sunny when I had my few cans. I agree I can't imagine drinking something like that when its above 90 outside.

Last night we had this neighborhood party. I ended up having a few beers yesterday afternoon and lost one that was in a coozy. Nbd happens all the time. Go to neighborhood party until about 10 pm at which point I started time travelling. And went home with my wife and apparently went to bed according to her.

This morning I was running and was about half a mile from the place I lost my beer and look and behold there it was. Same coozy at least with the same type beer. No clue how it got there.

i think i've realized that i like sours more as a style. i was all into IPAs last year, getting to know them better and enjoying them but they're way too caloric and i want to drink more than 2 beers in an evening or whatever, high ABV is fun but not all the time. started having some sours on the boston trip and really dug them. since home i've had new belgium tartastic (ok), avery brewing el gose (pretty good)...and tonight im going to try tallgrass brewing key lime pie which the name makes me want to puke but reading online it says its got this nice tartness to it. we'll see i guess.

I haven't been able to get into sours and Goses - but one that didn't annoy me too much was Sierra Nevada Otra Vez

I tried Ommengang Rosetta after it being recommended by themiddle and it does not disappoint. If you've been liking sours lately this one is fantastic.

the key lime beer was surprising good. didn't taste like a gimmick, just a beer that happened to have these flavors and a little sour kick to it. i'm looking forward to the other 3 tonight.

Dogfish's Sea Quench is a really good, really accessible sour. I'm not HUGE on sours, but I have at least hit my stride with them where I can find some I like. Recent sours I've enjoyed:

-Dogfish Sea Quench

-Schlafly Gooseberry Gose

-I went to Southern Tier's location in Pittsburgh (AMAZING location, by the way)... they had a Cherry Gose that was good. A little over the top but still good.

-And then in Baltimore, Union has the Old Pro Gose, which I enjoyed

I know there are more but I'm not thinking of them for now.

Dogfish's Sea Quench is a really good, really accessible sour. I'm not HUGE on sours, but I have at least hit my stride with them where I can find some I like. Recent sours I've enjoyed:

Southern Tier's HQ outside Buffalo NY is awesome. But the best is still hitting up Ommegang's brewery in Cooperstown and then going to the baseball HOF at the same time.

Dogfish's Sea Quench is a really good, really accessible sour.

I'll have to give this one a shot, I've pretty much had ZERO complaints about the Dogfish beers I've tried.

As I wrote before, the 120 Day IPA is the only one I had any beefs with and that's just due to it being a bit too much of a good thing. It's a limited release thing so it's worth a try, but at $36 a 4 pack, you only want to drink one at a time.

I can't believe I still haven't done that since moving out here, but circumstances have basically conspired against it. It is definitely going to happen at some point, though.

karp, I think you can get the Sea Quench in cans. At least, you can out here and I bet you can there, too.

What I love about Dogfish is that, even if they have something I don't like, it's not from lack of trying. They pull out their big brass balls and do crazy stuff with their beer. It doesn't always work but at least they tried. And when it does work, it's out of this world.
