Because I'm not a moderator, I'm suggesting a "pump it up". This is getting intense. Thread teetering on the verge of lockdown.

I agree. Just look on the bright side and see how much progress this country has made. Just 175 years ago none of the racist, secessionist politicians were female.

I'm sure you'd love that.

I think you have a short memory.

Maybe we should re-live McCain circa 2000, and watch him campaign against himself. Now THAT would be a treat to watch!

I would have voted for McCain 2000 had he made it to the general. I still have some hope that if he wins this election he will revert back to that form, that he found out in 2000 there was no way he would make it and win the general unless he embraced far right positions.

This entire thread is one giant exercise in futility.

You're right. I'm sorry. He's a crazy, scary, dangerous, radical black guy. The other guy is just a wee bit controversial Alaskan preacher who says hilariously out of context things that are distorted by those silly liberals and have no real bearing on anything.

All I did was post the link to the court record. If you can't honestly have a conversation without acting like a child and saying R U SERIOUS and LOL OMG WTF BBQ after every sentence, then why even bother?
LEt me ask both of you guys, since you seem to be getting along so well  if you really think 1) Obama believes God should damn America and 2) Palin really believes if you voted for Kerry in 04 you're banished to hell or God will damn you if you voted for Kerry in 04?

If you answer these differently (ie, no to one and yes to the other) then you're being hypocritical, imho. Getting on the same page here would at least be a starting point and steer what is a pointless bicker fest in a somewhat positive direction.

I think it's safe to say you'll probably never agree on who to vote for, but you can at least state your differences and opinions in a way that makes sense and can be respected by the other.
The big difference is that Obama was severely raked over the coals for religious issues, and Palin hasn't been touched. If they're both "guilty", then condemn them both in the media. If neither of them are guilty, then don't condemn either of them. The double-standard isn't fair.
It's not a double standard. And I've said why it's not. It's so completely different.

In a way I wish the media would try to make an issue out of it. I think people are paying closer attention now than they were back in March. I'd love to relive "reverend" Wright's comments and Obama's support of him all over again.
Well, it looks like your wish is coming true. Obama has agreed to talk about it...... again...... on O'Reilly tomorrow.

No plans yet for anyone to talk to Palin about..... well........ anything.
