I have a Bradley smoker and a Weber performer deluxe. Bradley gives me fits. Cant get it up to temp. Especially once the meat is added
I have trouble getting it up to temp in the winter but never had a problem maintaining temp. I know some people add a second element.
I just got it in February and tried to use it one time. Cold, windy day. Thats probably the problem. Thanks

The Orion is great. Food tastes amazing because it is smoked with hickory or applewood chips or whatever you want. I cook a turkey this way every Thanksgiving.

And it doesn't take near the length of a green egg.

That orion cooker is surprisingly affordable. $179 on their website. That's got to be among the cheapest smokers available.

That price really got my attention because that's a price that as long as I get a few uses out of it, I wouldn't be too terribly upset if somebody did steal it should I not clean it up and take it back inside every single time. It also looks like it would be easy enough to clean out after each use and move to the basement too.

Hung about the Orion, it's not for grilling burgers or steaks. This is for smoking meat. I have a separate grill for, well, grilling.
