Just bumping so everyone can see everyone else's thoughts on the Fowler signing. I couldn't find a post in the first 15 pages or so knocking the deal. I can't believe how bad he has become.

Lots of people say you can't judge a trade by hindsight, and I think this ought to be viewed the same way. I mean, no-one in the world predicted he'd have such a terrible 2018; and the amount the Cardinals paid for him, where 3-ish WAR a year would have been a fine return on the investment, was completely reasonable.

I like the guy, think he's had to deal with plenty of [expletive] from moron Cardinal fans, and want him to turn it round, if only to just become a happy, relatively productive right fielder for the next few years.

When I saw the title to this in the active threads I thought it read Cardinals sue Dexter Fowler. That would have been a better story.
