I'm going back to an NFL hiatus again for a couple of years.

The product is almost unwatchable as it is. Adding additional replay will cause the game to become completely unwatchable.

Same. I'll be hoping for a Patriots win in a game I won't bother to watch.
If the Patriots win, would Tom Brady retire? If so, would that be enough to actually root for them?

Trying to figure out why I liked watching the playoffs this year more than I expected...even with the Kroenke deal, most every game turning out with bad guys winning, and games hinged upon bad calls, and the infernal replay system. NFL is getting to be like figure skating, with the interpretation of judges deciding the win.

FWIW, the Saints and Chiefs still had their chances after getting screwed. that doesnt always happen.

Maybe it was ok, because the uverse is always [expletive] up, forcing me to watch on DVR delay (skipping the lame parts)

Also, pro sports options this time of year are awful.
IMO again, NHL really [expletive] up by not being in full playoff swing this time year

At least two lawsuits have been filed by local attorneys on behalf of Saints fans who want to compel NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to use his power under the NFL rule book to replay the final 1:49 of regulation of New Orleans' overtime loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Sunday's NFC Championship Game.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports ex-Jets and Bills coach Rex Ryan is a "name to watch" for the Chiefs' defensive coordinator vacancy.
Schefter's report is via "sources." Ryan has a habit of openly campaigning for jobs/inserting himself into the conversation, but he can't be dismissed out of hand in Kansas City. A deeply-flawed head coach, Ryan is an undeniably strong defensive mind. He got Bill Belichick's number more than once.

Chiefs fired defensive coordinator Bob Sutton.
Sutton had been Andy Reid's defensive coordinator for Reid's entire six-year tenure in Kansas City, but his defense increasingly became a laughingstock as Reid continued to power up on offense. Per NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, his firing comes after Reid and company "talked with players and coaches." The takeaway was apparently that Sutton's "lack of adjustments" were a "non-stop frustration." The Chiefs have seen some talent go out of the door on Sutton's side of the ball, but he still had enough to work with to be better. With the Chiefs in the midst of a Super Bowl window, replacing Sutton will be an attractive job offer.

Andy already starting the bloodletting. Someone should remind him that he's the only common factor for all his 15 playoff appearances and zero rings.

[expletive] defenses is another common factor

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports ex-Giants DC Steve Spagnuolo "has emerged as the favorite" for the Chiefs' defensive coordinator vacancy.
Spagnuolo spent this past season out of the league. Both he and coach Andy Reid worked together in Philadelphia when Reid was the head coach and Spags was an assistant under longtime DC Jim Johnson. Spagnuolo has coordinated some stellar defenses in the past with the Giants, but also ran one of the worst defenses in history with the Saints in 2012 after failing miserably as the Rams head coach from 2009-2011. Spagnuolo would be an interesting hire for the Chiefs.
