That takes you up to Fanta Se, and then to Taos, where Mrs. Jack and I got engaged. There's a great brewpub in Taos.wart57 wrote:Nope, I keep taking that left turn at Albuquerque.Hungary Jack wrote:That's it.

My understanding is that it wasn't really "his" choice, but it turns out that it was a pretty shrewd move (in a good way, for the Republicans).Gashouse wrote:No doubt. McCain made a smart move. I can totally see them pulling it off.pop_haines wrote:Everyone here at work is talking about her, too.
Despite her warts (sorry, wart), an inspired choice.
This ticket scares the crap outta me.
It scares me, too. And not in a good way.

I don't get this. There's no way a VP pick deserves this much attention. The VP has basically no responsibilities unless the President assigns them to something. I guess you could argue that McCain is sending a signal about how he'll govern with the pick, but I see no reason to believe that.Popeye_Card wrote:You know, Palin really JoeyBombed this whole discussion. Seriously, why don't we just divide the country in two...it would probably make things a lot easier.

I think most of the reason she sparks so much discussion is because nobody had ever heard of her before. And she is a her.
It is like when a bunch of people who work together for a few years all of a sudden have a new employee around to dissect I guess.
