I have to jinx this...if they postpone this thing...Garcia still pitches game six and if the Cardinals win Carp starts game seven, right?

He's gonna give up three hits? Cut his ass.

Wash said regardless of what happens with weather Holland will not pitch in game 7 even though he will be on 4 days rest.

Rangers, Cards brace for Wednesday rain
MLB officials would rather not stop the game after it starts and may call it early if the forecast full day of rain comes to pass, pushing Game 6 back to Thursday night at the same starting time. A possible Game 7 would then be played on Friday night, officials said. Weather is projected to be much better here on Thursday and Friday nights -- partly cloudy with the temperature dropping into the mid-40s.

Looking at the map, it doesn't look like it's going to be raining much in St. Louis beyond 1pm

My wife wanted me to take her out on a date Friday night, but I told her I couldn't b/c the local high school football team is playing their archrival and we, or at least I, needed to go. If Game 7 ends up happening on Friday I may be in quite the pickle.

I just agreed to work for a guy on Friday, forgetting about the possibility of that being makeup date. Let's hope that I need to worry about it.

Also, I can't believe I'm not getting any OT out of this. Sucks.

MLB, fans keeping an eye on the skies before Game 6 of World Series
ST. LOUIS • Major League Baseball is watching the skies and listening to meteorologists as rain marches toward St. Louis and threatens to jeopardize tonight's Game 6 of the World Series.

MLB officials plan to meet at 1 p.m. today to discuss what to do.

The National Weather Service says a pretty good area of rain that developed this morning in western Missouri is moving our way. It should reach the St. Louis area by midday, says Fred Glass, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service office in Weldon Spring.

There might be a lull in the rain, but Glass expects it to rain continuously through the evening, he said. By night's end, the skies will have dumped about one-third of an inch of rain in the St. Louis area, Glass predicts.

It was 61 degrees this morning at 8 a.m., and temperatures will be about 50 or 51 degrees by 7 p.m. and could drop into the 40s later in the night. "Temperatures will do nothing but fall throughout the day," Glass said.

Executives with Major League Baseball make the decision about rain delays or rainouts. If the game is rained out, the World Series would push back a day — with Game 6 on Thursday night and Game 7, if needed, on Friday night. Tickets for Game 6 and Game 7 will be good for whatever day that game is played.

That is correct I believe. Technically the rules say it's the home team's decision until the lineup cards are turned in, which is the transfer of that authority to the umpires. I believe that MLB is actually in charge of everything in the playoffs however - even after the lineups are turned in.
