FWIW, I don't think Pujols ruined him. I think he fell in love with his slider, and hitters figured him out.
They had something on BBTN about the percentage of his sliders that have been strikes over the last four years. Between 2003-2005, it was anywhere from something like 68%-83% (that's rough, but it's close). Last year it was in the 30's. I'll try to find that again.

He could be hurt, but I really think it's in his head. But he was having control problems before Pujols took him deep. The worst thing that Garner did was to pitch him in the game where Pujols "ruined" him. It was the fourth game in four days for him against the Cards. Not only were they starting to figure him out (they had almost beaten him the night before), but his control got worse in each game. He go from not being able to throw his fastball for a strike but only his slider to the opposite.

Yesterday, he was just all over the place with everything.
