It was an ugly series, but It was a sweep. I'll take it. Now we need Rolen healthy and Pujols to get some damn hits.

And then he went 1 for his next 12.ToughGuy_BlueShirt wrote:Whatever, he was at .486 in the Houston series, I haven't checked it. I was just mentioning he was doing well. Especially against lefties. Point. He should be playing!Balltilyafall4 wrote:Or .320...ToughGuy_BlueShirt wrote:So how much more does Duncan have to do to play everyday? I guess that .480 avg isn't cutting it.
Meanwhile, the guy who was playing in Duncan's place yesterday went 3-for-3 and got on base 4 times.

And meanwhile the guy who played for Duncan was 2-for-13 before today. I'm guessing an argument about who should be playing more between Duncan and Taguchi would be over quicker than that home run he hit today.clement wrote:And then he went 1 for his next 12.ToughGuy_BlueShirt wrote:Whatever, he was at .486 in the Houston series, I haven't checked it. Even quicker, because I wasn't making that argument. But if Duncan is having a little trouble finding his swing and Tony decides to sit him for a game against a lefty, it ought not be considered an indictment on Duncan's position as the primary left fielder. My point was more about giving Tony the benefit of the doubt that he knows what he's doing. Especially on a day where his left field shuffling provided 1 single, 2 doubles, a HBP, and a home run.GatewaySnayke wrote:And meanwhile the guy who played for Duncan was 2-for-13 before today. Just as we know that Duncan isn't going to go the whole season hitting .480 (or .320 for that matter), we also know that Taguchi isn't going to be locked in at .150 (though that .150 over a few weeks of ST and the first week of the season seemed to have many wanting to release him and replace him with Skip Schumaker and his .400 Spring Training batting average.
