I'm embarrassed by how excited I am about checking this out tonight.

I'm kinda disappointed that I have to go online to add movies to my instant queue to be able to watch them on my xbox.

btw, my xbox is nearly 3 years old and I've had 0 problems with it.

goofed around with it a bit and the Netflix thing is hella sweet.

Now I've got to find more stuff I can watch instantly on Netflix. I watched a little of Outsourced since it was already in my queue and it was apparently one of the ones that's in HD. I thought it looked pretty dang good.

Hopefully they'll really embrace this setup and continue to add big movies to the watch instantly option. It's also a great way to catch up on TV shows you missed, though unfortunately it doesn't look like any of the old HBO shows are available for instant watch (I'm currently in season 3 of The Wire and want to delve into Deadwood next).

Left 4 Dead could be the game of the year.

id never heard of this game, so i youtubed a gameplay video...and im my humble opinion, it doesn't look all that great...er, well, certainly not as good as gears 2...it looks like it could be fun, but nothing like gears 2...

It's created by the same folks who made half-life. I expect it to be awesome.

But yeah, gears appeals to me more.

There's only the 2k series, really. 2K has exclusive rights to third party MLB titles. So MLB: The Show is available for Playstation because it's made by Sony. The only way Xbox will get another title is if Microsoft decided to make one. EA stopped making their college game, I think.

FWIW, I liked 2k9 a lot. But the online component pretty much stunk.

if you are into survival horror games...there are some really great ones to choose from.
